Media, culture and creative industries
The southwest of Germany is an important location for the cultural and creative industries. Besides the film industry, the art market and design industry, the advertising market, the publishing industry and the software and games industry are large signboards of Baden-Wuerttemberg's creative sector.

The cultural and creative industries are a diverse sector, to which the sub-sectors music industry, book market, art market, film industry, radio industry, performing arts market, design business, architecture market, media market, advertising market and the software / games industry are.
In the Federal comparing cultural and creative industries in Baden-Wuerttemberg are set up above-average and a driver of innovation for the knowledge-based information and service economy. Here around 220,000 people in 30,000 enterprises generate sales volume of around 22 billion euros. Based on the total economy of the state, the number of self-employed and companies in the cultural and creative industries is nearly 7 percent.
